A client in Charlotte told me her skin 'finally felt like home' after a facial, and that phrase stuck with me.

She said it right as she was leaving my treatment room last month, and I keep thinking about how powerful that feeling of comfort in your own skin really is.

Reminds me of my friend who watched that show for years and missed the main joke. He finally got it during a rerun last week and texted me in all caps. It was a total lightbulb moment for him, just like you @thompson.tyler. He said it changed how he saw every episode after that.

It's funny you mention that feeling of getting a joke years later. My sister had this with a band she listened to in high school, she thought their songs were just sad love songs. Then she went through this rough breakup last year and listened to them again and realized the whole album was about a specific person and their messy relationship. She called me crying saying it was like hearing everything for the first time. Makes you wonder how many things we just gloss over because we aren't ready to understand them yet. That "finally felt like home" thing your client said, that's one of those.
