Can we talk about the day my mud pan slipped off a scaffold...
I was working a small bathroom remodel near Spokane last fall, about 10 feet up on a standard metal scaffold, when my mud pan slid right off the edge and landed in a fresh bucket of water... It splashed everything, had to scrape the whole corner joint and start over. Has anyone else had a tool mishap that set them back a whole afternoon?

From then on I started tying a loop of twine on my mud pan and hooking it over the scaffold rail. Never had another drop since. Did you end up finding any tricks to keep your tools from sliding off?

Man that sucks, I feel you. I had a similar thing happen with a whole bucket of compound once, knocked it off a stepladder and it went everywhere. Spent the rest of the day cleaning up and redoing a ceiling corner that got completely wrecked. It's brutal when one little slip just eats up hours like that.
