Working a sand deposit near Mobile last month, the suction head kept clogging on shell fragments.
We were pulling up way more shell than the screen could handle. Anyone have a good trick for a high-shell area besides just slowing the pump way down?

Why not just slow the pump down?

Slowing the pump down sounds like a simple fix. But if the system is already that sensitive to flow rate, it points to a bigger design flaw. You're just putting a band-aid on a problem that needs a real solution.
