Unpopular opinion: My neck is stiff from staring at screens all week

Been on CAD for days finishing a big job. Now I can't turn my head without pain. Took a break to stretch, but the damage is done. Boss just says sit up straight, like that fixes it. How do you guys avoid this mess?

About "sit up straight," I read that posture is only part of it.

Honestly yeah, posture is just one piece of it. My chiropractor was just saying it's more about having the right core strength to hold you up. He pointed out my tight hips and weak glutes were making me slump no matter how hard I tried to sit straight. Tbh it made a lot of sense.

My old physical therapist had a good point about this. She said focusing only on core strength ignores how your nervous system controls posture without you thinking about it. Trying to "hold" a position all day just makes different muscles tight. It's more about training your body to find a balanced rest position, not doing a constant workout at your desk.
