Switched from hand drafting to CAD mid-project last month

I was 3 sheets into a residential remodel when I realized my old rotring pen was skipping on the vellum. Finally pulled the trigger on a basic AutoCAD subscription and redid everything in 2 days. Anyone else have a hard time making that leap or was it just me?

Can't agree, hand drafting lets me catch errors before they cost money and I still prefer it for smaller projects.

Man I still can’t get over how people act like hand drafting is some ancient lost art or something. Like yeah it’s slower and you get graphite all over your hands but I swear I catch more stupid stuff when I’m staring at a real piece of paper vs a glowing screen. Plus nothing beats the satisfaction of a clean sharp line on tracing paper, even if the client ends up wanting something totally different an hour later.
