Tried printing my zine on brown paper bags from the grocery store

I wanted that rough, recycled look for my latest poetry zine, so I cut up a bunch of bags from the local market. My old printer jammed on the first sheet, and the ink bled everywhere, making the words look all fuzzy. After three tries, I just hand-wrote the whole 20-page run with a Sharpie, which took all weekend. It ended up feeling way more personal than I planned. Has anyone else had a printing fail turn into something better?

Ever think the printer itself was trying to tell you something about the poem's mood?

My buddy tried screen printing on old t-shirts and the stencil ripped. The messed up ghost image looked way cooler than his original design.
