That week I tried to refinish my own kitchen cabinets nearly wrecked my marriage
Monday morning I started sanding down the oak cabinets in our 1970s ranch house, thinking I'd have them stripped by lunch. By Wednesday I had only done two doors, my hands were raw, and my wife was tripping over orbital sanders in the hallway. Thursday night I cracked a panel because I got impatient with the heat gun. Friday I spent $200 on a professional stripper and still ended up with bubbled veneer. Has anyone else gone down this road and just given up halfway through?
