Tell me about it, I was the same way. Put one in the bedroom and it's a total game changer for winding down at night. You can go from bright light for cleaning to a soft glow that doesn't wreck your eyes before bed. It honestly feels like you get way more use out of a single room. I'll never go back to a basic on/off switch in there again.
