Hot take: coworking spaces are killing the whole nomad vibe

I was at a spot in Chiang Mai last week and overheard two guys arguing about whether it's better to pay $150 a month for a desk or just work from cafes for free. One said the community matters more, the other said it's a waste of money and you meet better people on the road anyway. Which side do you lean on?

$150 a month for a desk?!" Wait, that's actually a thing people pay for coworking spaces? I thought those were like $30 max.
