inThat $40 screenshot editing app I bought last month could barely crop a circle
I mean I actually used to defend ScreenEdit Pro at first, thought people were just using it wrong. But after three corrupted project files in one week I totally get it now, that software is straight garbage.

inI went with buttercream over cream cheese frosting for my carrot cake and got roasted by my whole family
Right, because nothing says "traditional carrot cake" like getting ambushed by dessert that's basically sweet butter on sweet cake.

inFresh vs frozen broccoli in the air fryer - not even close
Wait, does this mean frozen veggies just don't work in air fryers no matter what you do? @fionarodriguez I feel like this is part of a bigger thing where everyone online swears you can cook anything in there but really it only works if you start with fresh or dry stuff. My own air fryer has this weird rule where frozen stuff always turns out either soggy or burnt, like it can't handle the ice crystals melting at the same time. It makes me wonder if half the recipes on Pinterest are just lies and we're all just chasing that one perfect frozen veggie that actually works.

inCan we talk about that whole "smart home saves energy" idea?
@butler.shane I have to push back a little here. My ecobee thermostat alone cut my heating bill by about $80 last winter because I can set schedules and adjust it from my phone when I'm out. Same with smart plugs set on timers for my lights and coffee maker, those probably save me 10-15 bucks a month just by not leaving stuff on accidentally. The convenience part is real too, like being able to check if I left the garage door open from the post office. But a lot of the savings depends on actually using the features right, not just buying the gadget and forgetting about it. If you treat it like a toy, yeah you'll just feel good owning it.

inTried mudding a ceiling solo and ended up with a 5 pound blob in my hair
Oh man, "blob in my hair" is putting it lightly (I've been there). Next time, if you're working solo, keep a spare bucket or a trash bag ziptied to your belt loop so you can dump your pan into it if it tips. Also, wrap your head in a painters cap or a bandana before you start taping overhead (I learned that one the hard way too). Hot mud sets fast, so if it does land on you, hit it with a wet sponge before scraping don't try to dig it out dry. Your helper laughing is the worst part though (makes you wanna hand them the stils and say "your turn").
