Got stuck in a Lisbon cafe for 6 hours because my laptop battery died and I forgot my universal adapter.
Now I keep a spare adapter and a 20,000 mAh power bank in my bag at all times, anyone else have a simple piece of gear that saved them from a similar mess?

20,000 mAh power bank at all times" feels like you're prepping for the apocalypse, not a dead laptop. A standard charger and checking the battery level usually does the trick.
