Blew $200 on a cloud storage subscription and now I can't find half my files
I got tired of juggling external hard drives so I signed up for that fancy cloud service with the automatic backup feature. It ate through my data cap in 3 weeks and now my desktop folder is a maze of random empty text files. Has anyone else had their digital hoard turn into a worse mess after trying to organize it?

Wait, $200 and it ate your data cap in 3 weeks? That's crazy to me... I don't think I've ever spent that much on storage in my whole life. The empty text files thing is honestly hilarious but also kind of terrifying. Sounds like the cloud service was just indexing your stuff and then deleting the originals or something dumb like that. Did you try checking your trash folder in the cloud settings? That saved me once when a backup went wrong.

Dude that reminds me my buddy once paid $150 for a "unlimited" photo backup service and it turned out they were just saving tiny thumbnails not the full files lol. He had like 8000 blurry little squares at the end.
