A simple trick I learned from watching trending art accounts

I noticed many popular digital artists now include subtle animations in their showcase posts. I decided to test this with my own portfolio by adding a gentle glow effect to my illustrations. The animated versions received three times as many likes and comments. Now I always create a short video clip alongside the still image. It's become a standard part of my posting routine.

Three times more likes and comments sounds good, but is it just a flashy trick. Adding animations seems like extra work that might not even help the art. People get so focused on trends that the actual drawing skills might not get better. It feels like we are all just chasing algorithms now, not making real art. I just don't know if it's that serious.

Feel like I'm guilty of chasing those likes too. My stick figures could never keep up with the algorithm anyway.
