Why does nobody talk about the coolant leak that always starts behind the EGR cooler on a 6.7 Powerstroke?
Had a 2015 F-250 in the bay yesterday with the customer saying it was just 'using a little coolant', but after pulling the turbo and intake, the whole valley was full of green sludge from a pinhole leak in the heater hose right where it goes into the cooler. What's the fastest way you guys have found to get that lower clamp back on without dropping it into the abyss?

Ever see a guy try to use a coat hanger and a mirror? My buddy spent an hour like that, swearing the whole time. He finally got it by bending a long pick tool into a little hook.

@dixon.daniel did he ever figure out what he was actually doing wrong with the coat hanger? That method is a total nightmare.

Was he trying to push the lock button or pull the linkage rod? That coat hanger trick only works if you're pulling the rod up, which Spencer707 is right about, it's a huge pain. Honestly, just call a locksmith and save yourself the hassle.
