Three day stretch last month nearly made me quit diesel work.
Lost a Cummins ISX to a dropped valve on a Monday, then a DEF system threw a code that took 14 hours to trace on Tuesday. Wednesday had a customer argue my $850 quote was too high for an injector swap. Anyone else have weeks that make you question this trade?

You ever have a truck come in with a simple fix that turns into a three day nightmare? I had a Volvo D13 that needed an EGR cooler swap, and it ended up being a whole week because every bolt snapped off in the head. Makes you wonder if we're gluttons for punishment.

Real talk, the way these manufacturers design around serviceability is criminal. What gets me is they know those bolts are gonna rust and corrode but they still use the cheapest grade of steel and torque spec that's way too tight. Someone in engineering probably got a bonus for saving 3 cents per truck.
