Found a working Palm Pilot at Goodwill for $4 and it still had doodles from 2001

Picked up a Palm m505 at a thrift store in Portland last weekend, charged it up and the original owner had left some crude drawings and a grocery list saved on it. Does anyone know if there's a way to pull old data off these things without the proprietary sync cable?
