The day I stopped taking flash photos at Franklin Mills and everything got better
I spent three trips to the old Franklin Mills in Philly taking the same washed out photos of the empty food court. Then I realized my camera's flash was bouncing off the skylight panels and nuking all the color from the orange tile. I turned it off, upped the ISO to 800, and suddenly the creepy 80s lighting actually showed up in the shots. Anyone else have a dead mall that looked way better in the dark?

Same thing at Granite Run, turning off the flash made those weird teal lights finally pop.
