Burned $200 on a sketchy password manager that didn't work
I paid for this flashy password manager with vaults and sharing features, turns out it couldn't even sync across my phone and laptop. Anyone else fall for a paid tool that should have been free?

Still worked better than that vault sharing feature you mentioned which is why I stick with the free browser built-in ones.

Wait, are browser built-in password managers actually free though? I mean yeah you don't pay money, but you're definitely paying with your data. Chrome and Edge both send your passwords through their sync servers, which is how they get flagged for breaches. That's fine for some people but it's not really the same as a local vault.
