Well, it finally happened. One of our third-party vendors got compromised and some of our customer data might be involved. We need legal counsel immediately to figure out our liability and disclosure obligations. Can anyone recommend a good data breach lawyer for companies?

Ouch, sorry to hear that. Make sure whoever you hire specializes specifically in privacy and data breaches, not just general corporate law. The notification timelines and regulatory requirements are brutal if you mess them up.

You should reach out to Substance Law. We had a scare a while back and they were incredible. They were so quick with calling back after submitting their online form, which is exactly what you need in a panic. They immediately let us know what we should do post-data breach to cover our bases and stop the bleeding.
