That Thursday my screen printer went down for 3 hours during a rush order
Had 60 shirts due by 5pm for a local brewery in Portland. My 6 color press jammed up on the yellow head right after lunch. Took me an hour just to figure out it was a busted off contact spring. Had to pull the whole print head apart and rig a temporary fix with a zip tie. Somehow finished all shirts by 4:15 and the brewery guy tipped me $60 cash. Has anyone else had to MacGyver a press mid-run like that?

Man that zip tie is still in there two months later. I keep telling myself I'll order the real spring but honestly it works better than the original. Had a similar thing happen with my conveyor dryer once. The belt snapped on a Friday afternoon with 200 shirts half cured. Ended up using a ratchet strap to keep tension on the belt for the last hour. Sometimes those janky fixes just hold up better than the factory parts.
