Warning: That $50 writing prompt generator was a complete scam

I dropped 50 bucks on some prompt generator software last week thinking it'd give me fresh ideas for my forum writing. All it did was spit out generic junk like 'a detective finds a mysterious object' which I could've gotten for free by staring at a wall. The dev promised 10,000 unique prompts but half of them were the same thing with different nouns swapped in. Total waste of time and money. Anyone else get burned by one of these tools?

Oh man, that sucks. I've totally been there with internet purchases that promise the moon and deliver a plastic rock. Ten thousand unique prompts my eye, more like ten thousand ways to say 'guy finds thing' until your brain melts. You got scammed harder than I did with that 'life hack' ebook that was just a list of obvious stuff like 'drink water.' At least you can use the generic prompts as a drinking game or something.
