That Wednesday at the laundromat on Elm Street broke me

I had three loads going at once and the washer on unit 4 started making this grinding noise halfway through the spin cycle. Then the dryer ate my favorite hoodie and I watched the attendant pour bleach into a machine that clearly said no bleach. Has anyone else had a single day that just kept piling on bad luck like that?

Walked into that laundromat thinking it was just another chore, right? But here's the thing nobody's talking about - maybe the universe was trying to tell you something bigger. Like, I had a day like that last spring where my car broke down, then my phone died, and then I locked myself out of my apartment. Turned out the car repair saved me from being on the road during a huge pileup on the highway later that night. Sometimes bad luck stacks up because something worse is waiting if everything goes smooth. Not saying that washer noise was a sign or anything, but maybe losing that hoodie kept you from putting bleach on your favorite clothes yourself later.
