Update: I bought a $12 mystery box off Marketplace listed as "stuff from grandpa's garage" and got way more than I bargained for
I figured it would be junk, like a broken toaster and some old screws, but the seller met me in a Target parking lot in Boise and handed me a cardboard box the size of a microwave. Inside was a full set of dental tools from the 1950s, a taxidermied squirrel wearing a tiny cowboy hat, and 14 unopened packs of Pokemon cards from 1999. I almost drove off without checking because the guy was in a hurry, and I'm still kicking myself that I didn't. Now I always open the box before I hand over cash, even if it feels rude. Has anyone else gotten burned by not looking first, or am I the only one who trusts people too easy?
