I read Craigslist 'free' ads as a grab bag for 6 years until I finally looked at the actual photo timing
For 6 years I treated the free section like a fun little treasure hunt. Then last month I noticed something dumb on my own end. I saw a free treadmill listed 40 minutes after it went up, drove 25 miles across town, and it was already gone. The next week the same thing happened with a free couch, gone in under an hour. The tip-off was a guy in line ahead of me at a garage sale who said he sets an alert and only bites when the photo has today's newspaper in it. So I started checking photo dates and reply times instead of just scrolling for fun, and now I actually catch the good stuff. Do you filter by when the pic was taken or just hope for the best like I used to?
