Found a listing for a 'haunted' toaster that only makes burnt toast at 3am
I stumbled on a Facebook Marketplace ad from some guy in Phoenix selling a toaster that supposedly only works when it's dark out. He claimed it burned every slice he put in at night but worked fine during the day. Has anyone else run into kitchen gear with weird quirks like this?

Our old toaster had a phantom 3am setting too til I cleaned out the crumb tray, @viola_cooper62.

Sounds like the guy just has a defective toaster or bad wiring in his kitchen. If it only acts up at night, the dim light probably makes it harder for him to see he's setting the dial too high. Easy fix would be to test it at noon with the curtains open, or just buy a new one for twenty bucks.
