The old Liebherr manual was right about rigging angles all along
I spent 8 years setting up lifts with the load chart numbers the way everyone in our yard does, then a 112-ton pick in Tulsa went sideways because the sling angle at the hook was 10 degrees flatter than my ground measurement. I pulled out the 1987 LTM manual my foreman kept in the cab and those old swing-angle tables matched what the load cell showed, not the shortcut math we all use. Anyone else trust the old factory tables over the modern quick-calc apps for picks over 80 tons?
