The before and after of my brother's backyard deck build cracked me up
I helped my brother put up a 50 foot tower for a cell booster at his place in Ohio last summer. Before we got there, he had this sketch of a simple deck drawn on graph paper with no real measurements. After we finished craning the materials up for him, the deck turned into this monster 30x20 foot platform with three levels. He said he just kept adding things when he saw the space open up. The whole thing took us about 8 hours and I swear the plans changed every 20 minutes. Has anyone else had a job where the scope doubled just because the crane made it possible?

...and that's exactly how you end up with a deck that has its own zip code. So my question is, did your brother actually have a use for that massive thing, or was he just drunk with power from the big lift? Like, was he planning to host a tailgate party out there every weekend or did he just want to stand on top of his new kingdom and survey his domain?

Honestly I'm just wondering if he built it that big so he could charge the neighbors for using his driveway.
