Blew a hydraulic hose on a 60 ton in the middle of a pick last Tuesday
Was setting a precast panel at a job site over in Amarillo and about halfway through the swing I heard a pop, then the boom just started drifting. Turned out the main hoist hose gave out and dumped maybe 4 gallons of fluid on the deck before I got the load set down safe. Spent the rest of the day with a pressure washer and kitty litter while the mechanic drove in from 90 miles out. Has anyone else had a hose let go mid-pick, and did you catch it early enough to save the load or was it already too late?
