Heads up on those $80 'professional' shears from the online marketplace... they're not.
Bought a pair last month because the price was too good to pass up. Used them for two weeks on a few clients and they started pulling hair instead of cutting. Had to stop mid-service and grab my old pair. The 'forged steel' feels like cheap pot metal. Ended up costing me more in lost time and a bad review than if I'd just saved for a proper pair. Anyone have a reliable brand under $200 they'd actually trust?

Remember my cousin bought a pair of those fancy looking kitchen knives from a similar ad. They arrived in a nice box and everything, but couldn't even cut a ripe tomato without squishing it. It's crazy how much stuff out there is just dressed up junk. Makes you wonder about the whole supply chain for these too-good-to-be-true tools.

Used to think a nice box meant a decent product. Then I got a set of those "professional" wrenches that rounded off the first bolt I tried. The chrome plating was thick enough to see your reflection in, but the metal underneath was softer than warm butter. Makes you wonder where all that effort in the packaging comes from, when none went into the thing inside.
