Bleach foils vs. balayage for fine hair - no contest

I did a side by side comparison on two clients last month. One got traditional foils, the other got a hand-painted balayage. The balayage looked way better after 3 weeks with no regrowth band. The foil job already needed a touch up. Has anyone else found balayage holds up longer for thin hair?

My sister swore by foils for years but that 3 week regrowth band finally convinced me.

Haven't you noticed that too? The way balayage just blends in as hair grows is such a game changer for fine hair, no harsh lines. I totally agree, those foils can look rough real fast.
