Pro tip: the 2 mile walking path behind the old water tower in Boise is free and never busy
I always drove past that gravel lot off Highland Drive and figured it was just a service road for the water tower. Last month my dog pulled me toward it on a walk and I followed him, mostly out of laziness. Turns out there's a 2 mile loop with benches and a little creek, and I've gone 5 times since. I only ever see maybe 2 other people out there. What's the spot in your town you ignored for years because it looked like nothing from the road?
