Lost $60 on a fake farmers market stall reservation downtown
Booked a spot at what I thought was the Saturday market near 5th and Main through a random site that popped up on Google. Paid $60 with a card, showed up at 7am with my homemade jam, and the actual market coordinator said my name wasnt on any list. Turns out that site was a scam that just copies event details, and the real fee is $25 paid in person. I got my money back through the bank, but it took 3 weeks and a lot of calls. Has anyone else had luck finding legit vendor spots without getting burned like this?

Always call the market office direct or check the city's parks and rec page for the real vendor application, never trust a site that just copies event info. Most legit markets want you to pay in person the day of anyway, so if a site asks for a card upfront that's your red flag.
