Spent 2 hours on a Wayback Machine snapshot of a GeoCities page about someone's pet iguana from 1999
I had to pick between saving that iguana page or a fan site for a local Ohio mall that closed in 2004, and I went with the iguana. The mall site had broken image links and a guestbook full of spam, but the iguana page had a whole section on what the lizard ate and a hit counter stuck at 47. I stayed up past midnight reading it and even emailed the old webmaster address just in case. It bounced back. Does anyone else pick the weirder page over the more useful one when they archive stuff?
