Lost 40 layout points on a tablet in Tulsa cause the BIM model was 3 inches off
I was setting out wall lines on a job in Tulsa and my layout tablet kept flagging clashes at the same spot, so I pulled out the tape to check the model against the slab. Turned out the grid in the BIM was off by about 3 inches from the actual control points, so I re-shot everything from the benchmark and re-uploaded before the crew framed. How do you guys handle it when the model and the field don't agree, do you trust the model or the tape first?
