Learned the hard way that site plans on a phone screen don't cut it, but paper does
I was sure marking utility lines from a PDF on my phone would save time on a 40x60 slab pour in Amarillo, but I kept losing my spot every time the screen dimmed. A guy on my crew pulled out a $6 roll of kraft paper and a red pencil, and we taped the printed plan to a sheet of plywood, which cut our layout time down to 25 minutes. Is it just me, or does anyone else think we are trading real jobsite speed for fancy screens that die in the sun?
