Blew $400 on a laser level that couldn't handle direct sunlight
Bought a green beam self-leveling laser for a patio job last month and it was totally invisible outside past 10 AM. Had to finish the whole thing with a string line and a 4-foot level like it's 1995. Anyone else run into this with outdoor laser levels?

Did you try wearing sunglasses and squinting really hard? I bought one of those thinking I was getting high tech and ended up doing the same thing, eyeballing it with a torpedo level like a caveman.

Oh man, I've been there - you gotta check the level's accuracy first by flipping it end to end on a flat surface.
