That FBI crime stats site has a wild detail about unsolved cases

I was poking around the FBI's UCR data last weekend and noticed that in 2022, about 38% of violent crimes reported nationwide never got cleared, which is way higher than I expected. The breakdown for Detroit alone showed over 60% of homicides unsolved, and that number stuck with me because the media always makes it sound like most cases get closed. Has anyone else dug into these stats and found a city or category that totally flipped what they assumed about clearance rates?
