My uncle's story about the Denver airport murals made me rethink everything
We were at a family cookout in Colorado last year and he pointed at a photo on his phone, a close-up of one of those weird murals. He said, 'You know they buried the artist's tools in the foundation, right? He told the crew it was for good luck.' That specific detail, the buried tools, got stuck in my head. It felt less like a grand conspiracy and more like a single artist's strange choice that got blown out of proportion. Has anyone else had a small fact like that completely flip a theory for them?

What gets me is how often these stories start with a normal work crew just following orders. Someone told them to pour concrete over a box of tools, so they did. They probably joked about it at lunch and never thought of it again. The real mystery is how a builder's inside joke becomes an internet legend years later.

Yeah, that "buried tools" detail is the kind of thing that cuts through the noise. When a big story boils down to one person's odd call, it usually means you've found the real answer.
