My uncle kept telling me to look into the 1997 Phoenix Lights thing for a full year
He said the official story about military flares was wrong and to check the witness statements from pilots. I mean, I brushed it off for months thinking it was just another UFO story. Then I found a 2007 interview with a former Arizona governor who said he saw it and it wasn't flares. That made me dig deeper into the flight paths and timing, and idk, the flare explanation really doesn't line up with the 90 minute duration people reported. Has anyone else gone down this specific rabbit hole and found something that changed their mind on it?

Honestly, I always wrote it off as flares too, until I saw that map of the flight path. The flares were dropped way over by the Barry Goldwater range, but the main event was seen moving silently right over Phoenix itself. The two things were miles apart and at totally different times. That mismatch is what did it for me.

That "90 minute duration" detail is what got my friend too. He found old air traffic control audio from that night that doesn't match the flare drop timeline at all. He went from a total skeptic to being pretty convinced the official story is wrong.
