What finally made you stop putting time into it? After a certain point, I had to ask myself what I was actually getting from all that research besides frustration. It feels like a perfect trap to drain your energy and focus from real issues. My advice is to just step away completely, because the debate itself is the whole point of the distraction.

500 hours is a serious time sink, and I think sanchez.robin hit on something real. The whole setup is designed to loop you back into the same arguments without ever reaching solid ground, like a black hole for attention that just keeps pulling you in. Stepping away is the only way to break the cycle, because the debate itself is the trap.
