Shoutout to the old timer in Bakersfield who showed me why my edges kept spalling
Back in 2011 I fought a driveway pour in Bakersfield for almost six weeks because every edge kept chipping out on me and I kept blaming the mix. Turns out I was pulling my edger too early in the set and he walked over, tapped the concrete with his knuckle, and said "listen for the ring before you touch it." Two days later I had it down, and I still tap every edge before I pick up the tool.
