Saw a crew in Austin using a power trowel on a slab that looked way too wet
They were finishing a driveway on a 90-degree day and the surface was still sheening. I always wait for that bleed water to fully evaporate, but their foreman swore it 'saves time and seals better'. Anyone else think that's asking for trouble with scaling later?

Wait, they were troweling on a 90-degree day with the slab still wet? That's how you get a perfect skin of cream on top that just dusts off next year. I've seen guys try that to beat the heat, and then the whole surface flakes off like a bad sunburn. That foreman is trading a day's speed for a customer calling back in twelve months.

Yeah, I learned that the hard way on my own patio, lol.
