My power trowel panicked on me in a 4 inch slab near Dallas

Was finishing a garage floor outside Dallas last Tuesday and hit a spot where the mud was just a little too wet. The trowel caught a low spot, yanked the handles hard, and I nearly ate it face first into the slab. Looked like a drunk doing a spin move for 3 seconds. Lesson: check your slump before you fire up the machine, especially when the temp spikes like that. Anyone else had a machine try to throw you off?
