Man, I'm right there with you. I spent $150 on some fancy thermal paste and spent an hour carefully applying it like I was icing a cake. My temps dropped by like 2 degrees. I should have just bought a better fan for that money and called it a day.

Hold on, what kind of paste and application method did you use? I've seen people swear by the pea method vs the spread method and it can actually make a few degrees of difference depending on the CPU. Just trying to figure out if your technique was off or if the paste itself really is that overhyped.
