Pro tip: finding a good plumber on my town's Facebook group took me 11 days
Our water heater died on a Sunday and the first three names I got from the neighborhood group were either booked out two weeks or had no reviews anywhere else. I ended up driving to the hardware store on Route 9 and asking the guy at the counter, who gave me a name in 30 seconds. Is there a better way to vet these group suggestions, or do we all just get lucky at the parts counter?
