Appreciation post: the guy at the Denver library who gave me a list of 4 book clubs
I was at the central branch on Broadway looking for a reading group and a librarian named Marcus spent a solid 20 minutes walking me through which ones actually stick. He said the Tuesday sci-fi one has been running for 6 years and still has 8 regulars, and he pointed me to the mystery club that meets at a diner two blocks away. Most people just hand you a flyer, but he asked about the last book I quit and matched me from there. Anyone else got a librarian or staff person who changed how you pick a group?
