Compared two dive computers on a 90-foot wreck in San Diego last month and the Suunto Zoop Novo was way easier to read in low viz than the bulky Garmin I tried first.

The Garmin had so many menus I nearly missed my deco stop trying to find the depth reading, has anyone else switched back to a simpler model for actual work?

Paul's buddy only did three dives with it, that's hardly a fair trial.

Honestly, that bit about "nearly missing your deco stop trying to find the depth reading" is exactly what I heard from a buddy who tried the same thing. He got a Garmin for the long battery life and ended up selling it after three dives because he said the menus were a total mess. Ngl, I think companies sometimes forget that underwater, you don't want to scroll through a menu to see your depth. I'm still using an old Suunto Zoop from like 2015 and it's just a big number right in your face. Tbh, I don't need a smartwatch for diving, I need something that works when the visibility is crap and you can barely see your computer anyway. That Garmin sounds like a lot of tech for no real benefit if you're trying to actually work a wreck.
