Went to a con last weekend and noticed something weird about the fan art section
Every third table was selling variants of Batman or Spider-Man. Like, 15 different artists all drawing the same characters. I counted 8 different Jokers before I gave up. Has anyone else noticed the indie characters are getting squeezed out at these shows?

Nah, I gotta push back a little @garcia.charles - the big characters pay the bills for a lot of these artists, so they can afford to take risks on their weird personal projects later. It's like relying on Batman to fund your art career, not getting stuck in a van drawing him.

Guess the indie artists are all stuck drawing Batman in the back of a van.
