A kid at a con told me my pull list was boring, and he was right

I was at Baltimore Comic Con last month flipping through my pull list on my phone, and this teenager behind me in line glanced over and said 'dude, that's all Batman and X-Men, you're never gonna find anything new.' It stung because it was true. I had been buying the same 4 titles for like 6 years. He pointed me to a couple indie books on the floor, one about a guy who can talk to ghosts in a laundromat. Now I rotate in 2 random smaller series every few months, and it totally changed what I look forward to on Wednesday. Anyone else get a wake up call like that from someone totally unexpected?
