PSA: Your coffee grinder burrs might be way more worn than you think

I checked mine after 200 pounds of beans and they were totally dull. Found a thread on Home-Barista that said most people replace them 2x too late - your grind size drifts without you noticing.

So like, what's the actual test people use to know if their burrs are shot? I've seen folks say "look at the fines ratio" but that seems kinda vague. Is there a specific visual thing you look for, or do you just know when your shots start pulling faster and you can't dial in anymore?

...and the worst part is you don't notice the drift because it happens so gradually over hundreds of brews. I'd bet most folks are 50-100 pounds past peak performance before they even think to check.
